In the picturesque setting of Woolamai, Phillip Island, we transformed a family home for a couple with a newborn baby. They wanted a modern transformation, but one that still tied in with the traditional style of their home – infusing a blend of coastal and country farmhouse charm. The renovation encompassed three distinct spaces: a main bathroom, a powder room, and a laundry, each thoughtfully designed to meet the family’s needs.

The new ensuite was originally an outdated and non-functional 80s main bathroom. We decided to split the room into an ensuite and a powder room, creating a guest wing. The space now features a freestanding bath to relax and unwind at the end of the day, underfloor heating, heated towel rails, and herringbone wall tiles, adding both luxury and functionality. Custom-made brushed antique bronze tapware also enhances the room’s traditional yet elegant feel.In the laundry, we installed custom cabinetry with a hidden washer and dryer, maintaining a clean and organised appearance. We also created a mudroom, which is an essential addition to a farmhouse during winter months.

This renovation perfectly balances modern amenities with traditional aesthetics, creating a comfortable and stylish home for the family.
