The Nagle

The Nagel transformed a dated 90s residence into a light-filled modern, organic home designed for a growing family entering a new stage of life.

Created for a young family with three children approaching their teenage years, the renovation focused on creating spaces for connection, entertaining and everyday functionality while ensuring the home reflected the family’s lifestyle and kosher cooking requirements.

What began as an update evolved into a full home renovation, encompassing the kitchen, butler’s pantry, laundry, bathrooms, study, wardrobes and garage conversion.

The result is a warm and refined family home layered with natural textures and custom detailing.

At the centre of The Nagel is a reconfigured kitchen designed around entertaining and functionality.

An unused formal dining room was transformed into a butler’s pantry, creating additional preparation space while supporting the family’s kosher cooking needs.

A custom natural marble island forms the centrepiece of the space, with dramatic stone, oversized proportions and curved detailing creating a sculptural focal point. Arches repeated through the kitchen, island and butler’s pantry soften the interiors and reinforce the home’s modern organic aesthetic.

Timber cabinetry was integrated throughout the property, creating warmth and continuity across every space.

Handmade Spanish floor tiles feature throughout the bathrooms, bringing character and texture, while custom vanities, bespoke joinery and integrated storage elevate functionality.

The reconfigured ensuite and walk-in wardrobe created a luxurious retreat, while a servery connecting the butler’s pantry to the outdoor area enhances entertaining and strengthens the indoor/outdoor connection.
