When this young professional couple purchased their early 2000s apartment in Collingwood, they engaged Indulge Renovations to completely transform the dated interior into a bold, high-end home that reflected their love of pop art style.

This was a full apartment renovation in Melbourne, encompassing kitchen, bathroom and laundry design and build, along with new flooring, painting, electrical upgrades, air conditioning, and custom wardrobes throughout. Every detail was reimagined to deliver both elevated design and exceptional functionality.

Kitchen Renovation:

The original kitchen was small and poorly configured. As part of this high-end kitchen renovation, we removed the existing island to open the space and improve circulation. A new row of floor-to-ceiling wall cabinetry was constructed to provide additional pantry storage, seamlessly integrate the fridge, and cleverly conceal a hidden study nook – a functional solution tailored to apartment living. The showpiece of the space is the book-ended porcelain stone splashback, a true conversation starter. It is paired with Kalamata-coloured Laminex cabinetry and gun metal grey tapware, creating a bold yet sophisticated palette. This bespoke kitchen design balances artistic expression with practical layout improvements, resulting in a space that feels both luxurious and highly usable.

Bathroom & Laundry Renovation:

Both bathrooms were fully redesigned to align with the couple’s vibrant aesthetic while improving layout and functionality. The ensuite renovation included enlarging the shower and introducing green and blue tones that reflect the home’s playful, pop art–inspired direction. The main bathroom required complete reconfiguration to incorporate a euro laundry – a common requirement in Melbourne apartment renovations. The new layout allows for a larger shower while seamlessly integrating the laundry behind bright yellow cabinetry. The vanity features striking red cabinetry, complemented by navy tiles for depth and contrast.
Both bathrooms are finished with unique white tapware, adding a crisp, modern edge and reinforcing the bespoke, design-led approach.
