After purchasing their townhouse in Abbotsford, this retired couple engaged Indulge Renovations to transform two outdated 1990’s bathrooms and a poorly positioned laundry into refined, functional spaces aligned with their Modern Australian aesthetic. This high-end Melbourne renovation focused on improving layout, comfort and everyday practicality.

 

Ensuite Renovation:
The existing ensuite featured a bulky corner spa bath that dominated the space. We removed the spa and reconfigured the layout to create a generous walk-in shower with a custom-built seat, delivering a more spacious and future-focused design.
A large double vanity with arched mirrored shaving cabinets introduces softness and architectural detail, complemented by feature pendant lighting. Vertical subway-style Eucalyptus wall tiles bring subtle colour and texture, reinforcing the Modern Australian feel. Underfloor heating and heated towel rails complete this luxury ensuite renovation.

Main Bathroom Renovation:
The main bathroom was also fully redesigned to create a calm and timeless retreat. A semi-freestanding bath now anchors the space, paired with a spacious walk-in shower for improved functionality. Eucalyptus vertical subway tiles continue throughout, creating cohesion between both bathrooms while maintaining a warm, contemporary aesthetic.

Laundry Relocation & Renovation:

As part of this Abbotsford townhouse renovation, we relocated the laundry from downstairs to upstairs, converting an old kitchenette and linen cupboard into a practical and spacious Euro laundry positioned closer to the bedrooms.
This thoughtful reconfiguration significantly improved day-to-day convenience. The addition of a small fridge allows refreshments to be kept upstairs without needing to access the main kitchen – a subtle but impactful lifestyle upgrade.
